Christmas

The girls had a wonderful Christmas...they are spoiled rotten. At Great Grandma W's house all the kids were opening their gifts and Claire had not recieved hers yet so she was wandering around saying, "Where's Claire's present?" Great Grandma heard her and brought her gift out...it was huge! It was a giant stuffed Barney. Claire was so excited. She just kept saying, "I love my Barney. I love my present." It was really cute. Claire also got a little table and chairs set , a kitchen set (dishes and food to go with it), a V-Tech learning system, and and and. Kate got a little musical mirror play set. We set her up in her Bumbo so she could play with it. She can actually hit the buttons and make it sing.

Snowman

Claire had her first experience playing in the snow today. Daddy helped her build a snowman and she helped me shovel the driveway. She had tons of fun!

Sitting on Santa's lap

Well, here we are sitting on Santa's lap. Kate was indifferent, I'm sure she had no idea what was going on. Claire, on the other hand, did not like Santa. So that means Mommy got to sit on Santa's lap to so that we could get Claire's picture.

Kate Update

Kate went to the doctor today. She weighs in at 14lbs 14oz (75th percentile) and is 24.25 in long (50th percentile). She got 4 shots and they are making her really sleepy and a little bit crabby. Other than that the doctor said that Kate is perfect!

Kate's a big girl

Today we put Kate in her highchair for the first time. We had to prop her up with towels, but she loved being able to see the family while we ate breakfast. Then we gave her a piece of grilled toast to suck on. She loved it! You can see her gobbling it down in the second picture.

Baking cookies

Today we started baking Christmas cookies. Claire was a very good helper. She added the ingredients as we gave them to her. She was very anxious to eat the cookies that we made, but she did not want to eat any raw cookies dough.

I love dancing

We were all in the car tonight and Josh asked Claire what she did today. She responded that she did not know, so he started to ask her questions. He asked her if she went to a party today. She responded, "I love parties. I love dancing. I love cake. I love drinks." I think she was thinking back to last week's wedding an all the fun she had!

Going to work

Claire came out of her room dressed in this lovely outfit. I don't know if you can tell, but she is wearing a purple hat, bunny ears around her neck (we think it is a necktie like Daddy wears everyday), an Ameren safety vest, and she is carrying a toy diaper bag. She informed us that she was going to work and she needed the keys to the brown car (our tan Jeep Grand Cherokee). Josh told her that she couldn't drive the brown car, but she could take her pink Barbie Jeep. So she drove it around the back yard a couple of times and then she was home from work.
